Custom Crosswords Daily generates crossword puzzles on topics you choose, using AI to write the underlying word bank and clues, and includes a daily puzzle based on real historical events. Some features require an account; some require a paid subscription (see Section 5).
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide a valid email address. You may not share your account or impersonate another person.
This service is intended for users 13 and older. We do not currently verify age at signup. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
The service offers free access with usage limits (including a limited free trial before signup, and daily limits for free accounts on AI-generated content) and a paid tier with expanded access. Specific limits are described in the app and may change over time without advance notice to this document.
Honest disclosure about the current state of paid access: as of this writing, upgrading to the paid tier is handled manually/administratively rather than through automated self-service payment. If and when automated billing (e.g. via a payment processor) is introduced, these terms will be updated to include payment terms, refund policy, and cancellation process, and you will be notified before being charged.

Puzzle content (words, clues, and the resulting crossword grid) is generated using AI based on topics you provide. You may use puzzles you generate for personal use. Because the legal status of AI-generated content is a genuinely unsettled area of law, we are not making a specific claim here about copyright ownership of generated puzzle content -- if this matters for your use case (for example, commercial redistribution), consult an attorney.
The underlying software, generation engine, and design of this service are not licensed to you for redistribution or commercial reuse.
This service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The backend infrastructure currently used may be subject to delays after periods of inactivity (typically resolving within a minute). We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose. AI-generated puzzle content and clues, including historical facts used in the daily puzzle, may occasionally be inaccurate; we take reasonable steps to reduce this (see the app's technical documentation for specifics) but do not guarantee accuracy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the service, or request account deletion, at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how to request deletion).
We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
